Sired by one of the all-time leading producers of Arabian Cutting / Reining Champions, AM SEA CAPTAIN++ (14 National winners to date). While known for its tremendous western horses , Al-Marah s bloodstock has been the basis for most of THE most popular English discipline programs known today. AM GHOST SHIP was evaluated and declared as an L1 FIRST
PREMIUM SPORTHORSE STALLION in the fall of 2001 after passing a European
style sporthorse inspection, producing and EXCEEDING his required number
of certified First Premium Sporthorse Foals---and having a National performance
records to boot! He is also now an approved AMERICAN WARMBLOOD REGISTRY
stallion, and will be on their stallion roster in 2003.

He
is the ONLY Arabian stallion with a working western performance record
that has accomplished this feat. Sporthorse inspections are not like horse
shows, but instead each horse is shown individually in hand, at liberty
with stallions required to perform a performance test. Movement and conformation
are each 40% of the score with the remaining 20% being type and disposition.
This is a very tough standard to be judged against, as it is a pure FORM
TO FUNCTION type of scoring. Stallions are required to free jump 3 times
through a jumping chute over a single jump and 2 oxers whose height is
raised with each successful pass. Not all horses pass these tests, let
alone are scored this highly and many do fail. To top this off, all of
his foals from the last two foal crops were evaluated and declared First
Premium Sporthorse Foals / Youngstock. Uniformly superb young horses!
His fillies and colts scored within a point of each other, thus foals
of both sexes are equal in quality. 11 of his foals will be cross registered
with the AMERICAN WARMBLOOD REGISTRY.
